All
information is kept secured and access is limited to the counsellor. All information provided by you is
confidential and cannot be released to anyone outside the counselling room
without your written consent.
There are exceptions when certain situations arise:
Should any of these situations arise the counsellor will endeavour to consult you before mandated disclosure occurs. Please discuss with the counsellor any concerns you may have regarding confidentiality.

There are exceptions when certain situations arise:
- You sign a written release of information form indicating informed consent to such release;
- If, in the counsellor’s opinion, revealing the information would be necessary to prevent a person’s death or serious injury;
- Where there is evidence or suspicion of neglect or abuse involving a child, an older person (sixty-five years or older) or dependent adult ;
- When your counsellor and/or records are subpoenaed for a court case;
